BREAKING: Ex Ole Miss Rebels Star Makes Stunning Move to New Team Through Transfer Portal…

In a significant development within college basketball, Jaemyn Brakefield, a key player for the Ole Miss Rebels, has entered the NCAA transfer portal, marking a pivotal shift in his collegiate career.

Brakefield’s decision comes amid a period of transition for the Rebels, following the departure of head coach Kermit Davis and the subsequent hiring of Chris Beard.

Brakefield, a former four-star recruit, transferred to Ole Miss after beginning his collegiate journey with the Duke Blue Devils. During his tenure with the Rebels, he became an integral part of the team’s lineup, averaging 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in the 2023–24 season. His shooting efficiency was notable, with a 53.7% field goal percentage and a 35.1% success rate from beyond the arc.

The timing of Brake Field’s transfer aligns with a broader reshuffling within the Ole Miss basketball program.
